One of the most common issues we encounter with the Fliteboard is a tear in the battery compartment gasket. This happens due to the battery catching underneath the gasket when inserted. In fact, it is possible that a tear has already developed without you noticing. Left unchecked, the glue or gasket itself will fail after enough use cycles.
To prevent this tearing and preserve the gasket over time, we have created a hook with two ears that protects the gasket edge. Installation is simple: remove the factory hook and replace it with the eared hook. Once in place, your battery will no longer catch underneath the gasket.
