Safety Instructions
The FoilSolutions Retracting Leash provides additional separation between you and your board, which can enhance safety compared to traditional leashes. However, watersports such as foiling and surfing carry inherent risks, including the potential for serious injury or death. By using this product, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
To ensure safe use:

If you feel like you're about to fall—don’t resist it. Safely jump away from your board.

The retracting leash is not designed to be used in very high waves or rough seas.

Always maintain control of your board, especially when near other people.

Before getting on your board, ensure the leash strap is fully retracted.

Keep the strap away from propellers and moving parts.

This product is intended for advanced users only. Do not allow inexperienced riders to use it without proper instruction and supervision.

Always inspect the leash before each use. Do not use it if you notice any signs of damage or malfunction.

Wear appropriate protective gear at all times.
Assembly
- For the ankle/leg cuff: Feed the Velcro belt through the leash ears as shown below. Connect the belt to the pad and feed the two sides of the belt through the belt loops.
- For the waist belt: Connect the leash to the belt as shown below.
- If desired, adjust the slack by sliding the friction buckle.
Maintenance Guidelines
Proper care will help extend the life and performance of your retracting leash:
- Keep the leash free from dirt and sand to prevent damage or malfunction.

After each use, rinse the interior using fresh water through the top access hole. Uncoil and slowly retract the leash during rinsing to flush out debris.

Periodically oil the coil, especially before storing the leash for an extended period. To do this:

Unscrew the center bolt at the back of the leash.

Apply a small amount of lubricant to the coil.

Uncoil and slowly release to distribute the oil evenly.
