THE STORY BEHIND THE VORTEC FB2

The Vortec traces its roots to the D25 — a propeller built specifically for the Dubai 2025 eFoil World Championship, where it helped Corey Marlatt claim first place in the Men's Open division. In January 2026, a refined version launched publicly as the Vortec I. Rider feedback made one thing clear: it wasn't optimized enough for the general public.

So we went back to work. The goal: not a race prop, but a well-balanced, all-conditions propeller — easy on the system, with improved acceleration, high efficiency, low noise, and a ride quality that simply puts a smile on your face.

PROPELLER TYPE

The Vortec FB2 comes in two versions. The Standard uses the same proven attachment mechanism as the stock Fliteboard propeller — pin and nut — for a familiar, secure fit. The second is a limited-edition Quick Release (QR) variant, designed for riders who want the convenience of tool-free installation and removal directly on the water.

EFFICIENCY

Independent testing using exponential trendline modeling confirms the Vortec II delivers a noticable reduction in required power to achieve the same speed as the stock propeller — with the greatest gains across the mid-range power band where most riders spend their time (efficiency may vary based on setup, rider's weight, and other factors).
