How to service your Lift Efoil Motor. Lip Seals and Oil Change

This blog will walk you through the replacement of the two Lip seals and perform your own oil change.  EfoilSolutions provides a full kit but cannot offer technical assistance.  If you purchase this kit and require help, please contact Frank at frank.strutzke@googlemail.com.  This kit is available here. Note: It will be easier to perform these repairs with the mast removed.  Step 1If the Lift LCS is installed, remove the prop. For a conventional prop, remove the center bolt, then pull out the propeller and pin (the pin may fall out, make sure not to lose it).  If the propeller is jammed, you may try to: a. lightly tap on it, b. soak it in water for about an hour, or, c....

"ONE PROP TO RULE THEM ALL" V2 Toroidal, Test Report by Mateo B.

Link to the Toroidal Page Jeff kindly sent me a 3D printed version of his new prop to test. This was not the final version, and as it was printed, it was plastic, not Aluminum. Turn off the remote and disconnect the battery from the Efoil before handling the propeller. Always inspect the product before use. Never ride at speeds that exceed your abilities. Always wear protective gear. Avoid wearing loose clothes that may get...

LITHIUM BATTERY FIRES – A WAKEUP CALL

Last week, my friend’s house burned to the ground. The source of the fire was a lithium battery stored inside its case, located in his roofed front porch. He discovered the fire just as it was starting and emptied his fire extinguisher onto it—but it was no use. The flames quickly spread, and within five minutes, the entire house was engulfed. By the time the fire department arrived—only nine minutes later—there was nothing left to save. His family of four escaped with just the clothes on their backs. Tragically, their cat perished. Efoil battery fires happen more often than we like to admit, and it's time we start talking openly about the risks. We all love this sport, and many...
